You have just started your blog and looking for ways to monetize it. One of those ways is to sign up for Google Adsense.

Google AdSense is a program run by Google that allows publishers in the Google Network of content sites to serve automatic text, image, video, or interactive media advertisements, that are targeted to site content and audience. ~ Wikipedia

Guaranteed making money using Google Adsense is not what it used to be 10, 5 or even 2 years ago. Because of the number of people using Google Adsense increasing day by day, the amount of money you can make has exponentially decreased over the years.

Especially, if you don’t want to spam your readers with ads from each corner of your website. And would like to monitor the types of ads being displayed on your site.

Then why should you sign up?

One, the couple hundred dollars you will make in a year will be enough to pay for hosting.

And most importantly, because the ads being displayed on your website will be dynamic (meaning, it is tailored per individual and not the same static ad), you will be able to monitor what your readers are clicking at and create products, services and content for that particular audience.
